Reportage photography versus posed photography

 

You may well have gathered that purely reportage photography is a farce!

What happens if say your mother doesn't come up beside you at the right moment with the perfect light?
It's simple you won't have a picture of the two of you together.

When I say posed photography / traditional photography I certainly don't
advocate everyone standing to attention. How boring would that be.

WHAT TO DO

Here's my take on this

Why not sit down and discuss with me what the must have photographs
should be and then have the remaining photos reportage style

This does two things, firstly you get the photos you want and secondly you
don't have to pose all day long leaving you time to mingle with your guests.
